Artist Statement: Richard Rumble
For some time I have wandered, wondering as I stroll along — what am I looking for now? Perhaps the clue lies, not so much in what I’m looking for, but rather, in what I am looking at. I feel certain I’ll know it when I see it... but, as of yet (and in the words of U2), I still haven’t found what I’m looking for.
Meanwhile, I wrestle with themes of light & dark, order out of chaos, and harmony of elements, which I find on the fly. Once seen, I try to make note of them. This is the wonder I put into my work.
