Artist Statement: Lisa Lezell Levine
My work has evolved from direct realism to a more colorful expression of emotion. It's an invitation for the audience to allow themselves to feel immersed in the positive environment of my artistic creations.
I love working and planning in my studio where I can create artistic images with purity. During these moments I feel free to draw scenes that I view in my own unique way using different angles and perspectives in my paintings to create an explosion of color using a variety of mixed media, that is always open to experimentation.
For this exhibition I strive to emulate nature's emotions, whereas previous shows have taken on heavier themes. Every art exhibit that I create is intentional with a theme and planned carefully. It has been my hope to provide the viewer with the endless possibilities that can be created mentally and visually from my artistic endeavors.
