My work was originally inspired by materials salvaged by my husband Tommy from his waste management company during COVID Lockdown. Moved to reuse, reduce, and upcycle, I create whimsical and eclectic mosaic works and assemblage, crafted with a passion for incorporating post-consumer components, such as retrieved manikins and furniture, scavenged glass, crockery, found objects, vintage jewelry, parachute cord, bakers’ twine, beads, tiles and notions, with some homages to my favorite artistes such as Klimt, Van Gogh and Magritte.
In my former life, I practiced law on Long Island for nearly forty years, raised a blended family of 5 children, seven chickens and too many cats. My friends know me best for hosting detailed theme parties, traveling the east coast in an RV with my Husband of almost 30 years and our cat, Parcel, and growing produce. The three of us recently relocated to Hathaway Towers and are excited to live out Second Act in Richmond where we plan on fully embracing the vibrant culture and art it is home to.
