"Jazz SPOKEn"

Illustration for Jasmine Walker's 'Jazz SPOKEn' by Christopher Good

Cycling has made me stronger, wiser, and a better person.
It has taught me balance, organization, and responsibility.
Whether Iím practicing at Forest Hill, Chimborazo Park, Libby Hill, Armstrong Bike Park, or Dogwood Dell, I've learned determination and the pay off of hard work.
I am thankful for the inspirational sayings from my coaches, to "push yourself, and never give up."

Like a lot of things in life, cycling goes deeper than what it appears.
Cycling can't be defined only from experiences, because it brings out different emotions and thoughts.
Some people think cycling is just riding a bike and going places, but itís hard work every day I ride.
I push myself to the limits physically but most of all mentally.
As a member of a team, I have to be able to will myself and my teammates.
