Cara Z. Walton, Harrisonburg, VA

I find beauty in the decayed and forgotten. I love to use photography, both digital and film, color and black and white, to capture the idea of the long forgotten, of places and objects that were once loved, but have been abandoned or have faded from their past glory. Being a history teacher, I appreciate the stories behind things, and I try to imagine what they would tell me if they were able to speak for themselves. This image was taken with Lomography LomoChrome Redscale 35mm film. I love the austere mood that the red cast gives to the photo.
