Charlie Brouwer, Willis, VA

I appreciate wood as a material and I've learned a lot about working with it. Spalting, caused by a fungus, occasionally occurs in wood and it creates distinctive and unique patterning. The concept of home is always with me (and everyone, I believe) but on certain occasions I become acutely aware and appreciative of it. Beauty is everywhere but it is illusive and fleeting when it occurs for me, I also feel like I am in the presence of truth and goodness.
