June Exhibits at Artspace
Richmond, VA -- Artspace, located at 6 East Broad Street in downtown Richmond, is pleased to announce its June exhibitions. The public is invited to the First Friday Opening Reception on Friday, June 6th from 7-10pm. All exhibits will close Sunday, June 29, 2003. Artspace is open Wednesday to Sunday, from 12 to 4 pm and by appointment. You can learn more about Artspace and its upcoming events at www.artspacegallery.org.
In the main gallery, Artspace is showing “Flock & Still,” paintings and drawings by Nathan Lambdin. These works capture a moment of action in monumental stasis. Common subjects become partially abstracted in thick, gauzy fields of close-value color.
Gallery members Debbie DaPrano and Andrew Campbell will be exhibiting mixed media and sculptural works in the Foyer and Helena Davis Gallery.
James Parker will be exhibiting “The Muse and the Eulipions” in the Skylight Gallery. Parker will be showing artwork in various mediums.
Exhibiting in the new upstairs
expansion will be “Cuba, 2003,” new photography by gallery
member Judith Fox.
